The UAE Airlines NBA Cup is set to return for its second year. This time, all 30 teams will compete for the championship trophy. The draw for the UAE NBA Cup has been completed, and the tournament will kick off in November, with all 30 teams participating. Here's everything you need to know about this event.

What is the UAE Airlines NBA Cup? It was previously known as the NBA Season-Long Tournament. In its second year, the UAE Airlines NBA Cup will begin on November 12th and conclude on December 17th.

What is the format of the UAE Airlines NBA Cup? This time, all 30 teams will participate in the group stage of the tournament. These teams have been divided into five groups based on their win-loss records from the 2023-24 regular season. Each team will play a single round-robin against their group opponents. Two games will be played at home, and two games will be played away. These group stage matches will take place on "Cup Nights" every Tuesday and Friday (or Wednesday and Saturday in Philippine time).

Western Group: Minnesota Timberwolves, LA Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers

Western Group: Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, LA Lakers, Utah Jazz

Will there be playoffs? Eight teams will advance to the knockout stage. The top team from each group will enter the top six. Each conference will also select a "wild card" team based on the best record among the second-placed teams in each group. The playoffs will consist of single-elimination quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship matches. Except for the championship game, all UAE Airlines NBA Cup matches will count towards the regular season standings. The winner will receive a trophy. The prize pool will also be distributed among players eligible for the knockout stage. The media panel will also select the Most Valuable Player and an All-Tournament Team.
